Family Meeting Study

family-meeting-fumcm

Hello Small Group,

This week we will watch and discuss Session #3 of this series. https://vimeo.com/channels/familymeeting

The thought for the week… and it is a beautiful one… Everyone has a next step in faith.  Which can also be said God is not done with me yet!  And the people said… whew!  Read Philippians 1:1-11 before next week.  Paul was confidant that

“he who began a good work in you will carry it on until the day of Christ.”

As we shared and learned about one another last week, we are all at different places in our walk with Jesus and we all have differing levels of comfort and confidence with the blue wrist band.  Pastor Davids words this week will speak directly to us as he advises us that;

  • Faith is not static.  For the disciples and for us, we are constantly moving from denying we know Christ to doing miracles in his name.
  • The Christian life is not about the perfect life.
  • When Christ is your mentor… comparison is not a good idea.  Comparing yourself against other Christians is a silly human pursuit.  For a lot of years I would have given anything to be Tiger Woods?

These are big interesting thoughts.  Plenty to read about & discuss I think.  So no questions this week, just these thoughts above that we all want to hear your reactions to.

See you at 5:30 at Casa Davis (8305 Preserve Oaks) code #3837.

Pray for your group members at least once this week.  Just call our names out to God and I’m thinking he knows what we each need.
